LEGOLAND Water Park

LEGOLAND Florida Water Park Fun for All Ages

Today we went back to LEGOLAND Florida to check out their water park. And we have the scoop on all of the rides, attractions and dining options. Find out everything you need to know about LEGOLAND Florida Water Park!

Planning LEGOLAND Florida Water Park Fun

On a hot summer day, there’s no better way to cool off at a theme park then at LEGOLAND Florida. And unlike other parks, the water park here is actually inside the theme park. Which means you don’t need a separate ticket, you just need a multi-park ticket that includes the water park. Make sure to check out their website for deals: LEGOLAND Florida Tickets | Official Website.

So once you have your ticket, you would park and head to LEGOLAND Florida like you normally would. And you would still enter the main gates. To get to the water park, you actually have to walk through the park to the back. Just past the Flying School in LEGO City, the walkway continues to the water park. And there is a separate entrance here, so be prepared to show your tickets a 2nd time. But once in, you’re all set to have some LEGOLAND Florida Water Park fun!

LEGOLAND Florida Water Park Shopping

Once in the water park, you will find the 1 store here. It’s called the Surf Shop, and there’s a good chance they have anything you may need. If you forgot sunscreen, towels, hats or even bathing suits, they have it. And the prices are reasonable.

On the other side of the entryway are the changing rooms/restrooms and lockers. The facilities are great to change from theme park to water park attire or vice versa. And just past the Surf Shop is the 1st dining option.

LEGOLAND Florida Water Park Dining

There are 2 dining options at the water park. The 1st is the Beach-n-Brick Grill near the entrance. This is the bigger of the 2 options and has more variety. Typical food includes burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and salads. It’s a counter service restaurant with plenty of seating under a covered area outside. We did not eat here, but we did eat at the other dining option by the wave pool.

Beach Street Tacos

Beach Street Tacos is another counter service location, but with a smaller menu. As you guessed, it basically only serves tacos. And there is one option for 2 tacos with chips and salsa. Though they have options for buffalo chicken, beef barbacoa or plant-based chorizo. They wouldn’t allow us to choose 1 chicken and 1 beef so we went with the barbacoa tacos to share. They also have a cheese quesadilla for kids. The tacos were pretty good, but if you’re hungry get your own.

LEGOLAND Florida Water Park Rides and Attractions

And now the most important part of the water park, the rides and attractions. LEGOLAND Florida Water Park has fun for all ages.

Joker Soaker and Wave Pool

If you have kids, there’s a good chance you’d be spending time at the Joker Soaker. This water playground has a 300 gallon bucket that splashes everyone when it gets full. They also have multiple slides, though there is a 40 inch minimum height. There is also plenty of lounge chairs to lay your stuff on while you watch the kids.

This was our first stop where we let our daughter run wild. Of course, she wanted us to go with her. Just warning you will get very wet. Speaking of wet, the wave pool is also nearby. You can walk right in and chill in the shallow water. Or you can head out to the deep end and get in the wave action.

Water Park Slides

Just past the Joker Soaker is the walkway to LEGOLAND Florida Water Park’s 2 water slide attractions. To the left is the Twin Chasers, 2 intertwined slides that plunge into a pool below. Here you grab a single or double tube to ride down on.

This is a nice ride to go solo or with your child. The slides start out open and then finish through dark tunnels to the pool. Kids have to be 48 inches tall to ride solo or 42 inches with an adult. But the other ride has a minimum height of 48 inches.

Just next door is Splash Out, which has 3 different tubes you can take. However before you can choose your option, you have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the top. And from up top it’s hard to tell the difference other than by color. The blue slide circles down through a covered tunnel. And the pale green one has a few bumps before landing at the bottom. However, the yellow-green one is a straight drop and includes an instant wedgie. You really pick up some speed on this one, so hold onto your bathing suit!

Other LEGOLAND Water Park Attractions

The DUPLO Splash Safari is a toddler play area for kids 6 and under. It has shorter slides and interactive DUPLO creatures. Our daughter was just older than this, so we didn’t experience this area. However, they have a lazy river on the other side of the bridge.

The Build-a-Raft Lazy River

The Build-a-Raft Lazy River has rafts that you can stack large LEGO bricks on. But the real draw here is floating around the 1,000 foot river. In case you’re wondering the lazy river, wave pool, water playgrounds and slides all have lifeguards. So, we never felt any issues with our daughter even though we stayed with her everywhere. Though there is one more attraction that did not need a lifeguard.

Build-a-Boat at LEGOLAND Florida Water Park
Build-a-Boat racing

Though this wasn’t an attraction you get wet on, our daughter really enjoyed it. Once you build a LEGO boat, you can race it against others to see whose boat makes it to the bottom first. It’s in the shade and a nice break out of the water. And that is it for LEGOLAND Florida Water Park fun!

Summary

LEGOLAND Florida Water Park is not huge. But what makes it great is it’s inside LEGOLAND. So, you can cool-off at the water park for a few hours while visiting the park. And that’s exactly what we did. We spent about 3.5 hours at the water park before changing into dry clothes. Then we headed back into the main park to experience some of our favorite attractions.
